Travel Pharma Ventures was founded by Brent in 2023, after more than ten years spent learning what pharmacy looks like at its best — and deciding to build something from that knowledge.
Brent spent over ten years in community pharmacy before founding Travel Pharma Ventures. Not as someone passing through — as someone who learned the work from the inside. Different locations, different patient populations, different teams, different software systems. He became the pharmacist colleagues asked for help and the one who stayed until the work was done.
What he noticed, over time, was a gap on both sides of the industry. Pharmacies in remote and underserved communities needed coverage they could genuinely depend on, not just a body to fill the shift. And pharmacists with real ability were staying in positions that did not reflect what they were worth or what they were capable of building.
He saw both sides of that gap clearly. And he decided to close it. In 2023, he incorporated Travel Pharma Ventures and began providing direct, above-and-beyond relief coverage to pharmacies across Ontario and British Columbia — on his own terms, with his own reputation.
He did not incorporate because it was the obvious next step. He did it because he wanted to see what pharmacy could look like without the constraints of a single location, a single employer, and a ceiling someone else had set. The corporation was the vehicle. The curiosity was the engine.
